Might as well post this here

As I regained consciousness I began to realize I had no idea where I was. The room I awoke in was dark and unfamiliar. Only the faintest light spilled in from under the door and, as far as I could tell, the room was windowless. I attempted to push myself up into a sitting position on the bed I was lying on and soon noticed that I couldn’t move my arms away from my body. I twisted and strained against whatever was binding my arms, but I couldn’t get it to loosen its grip. A bright flash of light shot into the room from where the door stood and I caught a glimpse of my captor. Whatever the monstrosity was, it had its wet leathery tentacles wrapped tight around me. Hooks from the things tentacles started digging themselves into my flesh. I felt my blood trickling out of the wounds as I thrashed about the dark thing’s grip, attempting to free myself from this horrible creature. As I began to lose my strength from flailing about, it pulled me tighter and whispered in my ear, “It’s okay now Dr. Davis, you’re going to be alright.” It had such a soothing voice, a woman’s voice. Shortly thereafter, I lost consciousness again, but I’m sure I had heard more creatures nearby, talking to each other. I’m not sure what the things were saying though…

“Poor thing, he used to be such a brilliant and respected man. That sedative should keep him calm for a while.”
“What happened?”
“He had just transferred here, to this institute, and was going to be in charge of the lower ward. Somehow, he’d gotten lost on his way down there and ended up deep in the basement somewhere. It took us a few hours to find him, but when we finally did, the doctor was just lying on the floor; his clothes were torn up and he was going on about there being something in the dark. We thought maybe there was a loose dog or something down there but we couldn’t find anything. He’s been like this ever since.”
“That’s a shame. Something down there must have really freaked him out.”
“Like I said, we couldn’t find anything.”

Flip the Power Switch and Go!

K, so I got this thing up and running. I'm still filtering through ideas on what to write about on here, but I'll come up with something soon. I've got an idea for a different blog though, that'll be up soon too.

Well I'll get this figured out sooner or later. Right now, I gotta save a lady from a burning house...
